→ At Tapovan Paryushan Aradhana, our guiding light and inspiration is Yugpradhan Acharyasam Param Pujya Panyas Pravar Shree Chandrashekharvijayji Maharaj Saheb, affectionately known as “Guruma.”
→ His profound influence has motivated millions to dedicate themselves to the service of Jainism, transcending every facet of Jinshasan.
→ Guruma’s vision extends beyond spiritual guidance, encompassing the welfare of our nation and the preservation of our timeless traditions.

SPIRITUAL JOURNEY BEGINS

→ Born in Mumbai, India, Panyas Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj Saheb, was a revered Jain monk, scholar, and author.
→ From a young age, he exhibited a deep spiritual inclination, drawn to the Jain principles of non-violence, compassion, and self-realization.
→ At 16, he renounced worldly life to embrace Jain monkhood under Acharya Vijay Premsurishvarji Maharaj Saheb.

DEVOTION, KNOWLEDGE, MASTERY

→ Guruma’s spiritual journey was marked by intense devotion and unwavering dedication to the Jain faith.
→ He immersed himself in the study of Jain scriptures, mastering various aspects of Jain philosophy, ethics, and rituals.
→ His profound knowledge and spiritual insights earned him the esteemed title of “Yugpradhan Acharyasam,” signifying his exceptional proficiency in delivering religious discourses and sermons.

JAIN THOUGHT LEADER

→ Guruma’s contributions to Jainism extended far beyond his scholarly pursuits.
→ He was a prolific writer, penning over 348 books on diverse subjects, including religion, culture, nationalism, history, education, criticism, and short stories.
→ His works, infused with spiritual wisdom and practical guidance, resonated with readers worldwide, solidifying his position as a leading Jain thinker and influencer.

NONVIOLENT SOCIAL REFORMER

→ Beyond his spiritual and literary contributions, Guruma was a staunch advocate for social welfare and reform.
→ He actively campaigned against societal ills such as animal sacrifice and caste discrimination, championing the principles of non-violence and equality.
→ His efforts extended to the realm of education, establishing schools and institutions that promoted Indian cultural values and holistic education.

CHAMPIONING NON-VIOLENCE ADVOCACY

→ In 2002-2003, Guruma spearheaded a nationwide campaign against the Indian government's plan to open 56,000 new slaughterhouses.
→ His impassioned pleas and unwavering commitment to non-violence garnered widespread support, ultimately leading to the government's decision to reconsider the plan.

SPIRITUAL LEGACY ENDURING

→ Throughout his life, Guruma inspired and guided countless individuals on their spiritual paths, initiating 151 disciples into Jain monkhood.
→ His legacy lives on through his extensive writings, the institutions he established, and the countless lives he touched with his spiritual wisdom and compassion.

CHAMPIONING NON-VIOLENCE ADVOCACY

→ Tapovan Paryushan Aradhana stands as a testament to the visionary efforts of Pujya Guruma Shree Chandrashekharvijayji Maharaj Saheb, who recognized the need for every Shree Sangh to experience the profound spiritual practice of Paryushan Aradhana.
→ Understanding that the chaturmas of Pujya Sadhu–Sadhviji Bhagvant could not be anticipated at every Shree Sangh, Guruma initiated the training of dedicated youths, known as “Veer Sainiks,” to perform these sacred rituals.
→ This enduring legacy ensures that the spiritual depth and rich heritage of Paryushan Aradhana are preserved and cherished for future generations, embodying the core principles of our faith and the dedication to spiritual upliftment.
